Our approach
We have developed a fully circular process whereby plastics are transformed back into raw materials to produce virgin quality plastics.
How does it work?
As we all know, plastic waste is a huge global problem for the environment. Unfortunately, less than a quarter of all plastic waste is currently being recycled. This means that the rest of our plastic waste ends up in landfill, being incinerated or dumped as waste in the environment. If we continue to produce new plastic, not only will our use of natural resources increase, but also our CO2 emissions. And the ‘mountain’ of plastic waste will just keep getting bigger.
We can do better than this. And believe that chemical recycling is an essential part of the puzzle in solving the plastic issue. It represents a sustainable solution for plastics that cannot be mechanically recycled. We have developed a fully circular process whereby plastics are transformed back into raw materials to produce virgin quality plastics.

The tried and testes process of Xycle enables us to emit less CO2 than is emitted when incinerating mixed plastic waste. And provides the chemical industry with a responsible alternative for producing new plastics. But what exactly are those goals?
