Following a 12-year process, the developers of Xycle are about to build a plant in the Netherlands that will sustainably convert 20 Ktonnes of non-recyclable plastic into high-quality feedstock every year. This tried and tested depolymerization technology also means that Xycle emits less CO2 than incinerating mixed plastic waste. This will provide the chemical industry with a responsible alternative for the production of new plastics.
